Heeding God’s Call to End Gun Violence
Inspiring Hope. Raising Voices. Taking Action
-
Our Mission
Heeding God’s Call to End Gun Violence™ works to prevent gun violence by uniting people of faith to actively participate in public witness and policy advocacy.
-
Community Vigils
We hold prayerful public gatherings to remember and honor victims of gun violence and actively seek for change on behalf of them and their families.
-
Advocacy and Education
Heeding promotes public witness and call to action through Ending Gun Violence Days and Memorials to the Lost®. These engagements offer opportunities for education, individual and community healing, and mobilizes people toward policies that include voter guides, letter writing campaigns, and direct, in-person lobbying.
It is our sacred responsibility
as faith communities
to protect our brothers and sisters
through public witness and advocacy.
A Memorial That Moves Hearts—and Communities
At Heeding God’s Call to End Gun Violence, we bear public witness to the toll of gun violence with our "Memorial to the Lost"—a moving display of T-shirts, each bearing the name of a life taken. This powerful visual calls people of faith to grieve, reflect, and take faithful action.
Join us in lifting up lives lost, supporting families, and pressing for change. Together, we can answer God’s call to end gun violence and build communities of peace, justice, and hope.
Our brothers and sisters whose lives are lost to gun violence matter.
