Good Friday

Good Friday is a sacred and significant day on the Christian calendar recalling the day that Jesus was tried, convicted, and executed with many traditions participating in a Stations of the Cross procession remembering moments along the path to the cross. As an interfaith movement, we have used this day for people of any faith to join in vigils and stations walks as we prayerfully walk through a neighborhood impacted by gun violence, pausing at particular locations where a gun-related death has happened.

This gathering has been a part of Heeding God’s Call for more than a decade. Focused on justice, it is a powerful event where participants come away having had a truly spiritual experience.
